Short Description: Supportive role in ensuring the design of products meets multiple geographical product compliance legislative requirements, to maintain associated compliance documentation and assist with requests for documentation/proof of compliance. DUTIES: Investigate and identify legislation and compliance requirements impacting on parts in the aftermarket. Liaise with Product Development team and Testing team to request, track and document compliance related tasks and projects Identify and advise on new&changed legislation and compliance standards impacting on Product compliance and parts compliance Execute Compliance related audits and evaluations. Create and maintain comprehensive compliance documentation both for product compliance as well as parts compliance Provide cross functional teams with updated and relevant Compliance related documentation Ensure all documentation relating to product safety and compliance is accurate and reflective of the current state. This will include reviewing, updating and communication all standards, guidelines and procedure related to product safety and compliance Ensuring all periodic declarations and reporting of product legislative requirements of Bell are met Liaise with Notified bodies and coordinate for Compliance Testing with appropriate Authorities Cooperate with designers to ensure accurate communication and efficiency in addressing compliance needs in design phase. Execute project deliverables, including taking lead role on assigned projects Contribute to larger projects as project team member (PDP projects) Ensure accurate recordkeeping and document management Prepare and submit accurate reports, in the agreed format, on time Ensure compliance with standard operating policies and procedures (including quality controls) COMPETENCIES: Attention to Detail Ability to plan and organize. Analytical Critical Thinking Customer Service Orientation REQUIREMENTS: B. Eng (Mechanical or Electrical), B. Tech (Mechanical or Electrical) or N.Dip (Mechanical). Proof of qualifications must be attached to the application. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related field Experience in Legal and Regulatory design, safety, CE marking and emissions requirements (EU, SA, US, Australia) Technical product knowledge will be an added advantage. Proficiency with Microsoft365 is essential. Good report writing skill is essential. Good communication skills&ability to interact with others Good technical and Data analysis skills A logical approach of fault finding principles&attention to detail A valid driver’s licence.
