Job Summary: The Videographer will be responsible for creating captivating visual content that showcases the unique experiences and offerings of our 5-star game lodge in Hoedspruit. This role requires a creative and skilled individual with a passion for storytelling through video. The Videographer will capture stunning footage of wildlife, landscapes, lodges, activities, and guest experiences to be used for marketing, promotional, and educational purposes. Key Responsibilities: Video Production: Conceptualize, plan, and execute video shoots to capture engaging footage of wildlife, landscapes, lodges, activities, and guest interactions. Operate video cameras, drones, stabilizers, and other equipment to achieve professional-quality shots and smooth camera movements. Ensure lighting, composition, and audio quality meet industry standards and enhance the visual storytelling. Editing and Post-Production: Edit raw footage into high-quality videos using video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) to create compelling narratives and promotional content. Incorporate music, sound effects, voiceovers, and graphics to enhance the visual appeal and emotional impact of the videos. Collaborate with the marketing team to align video content with brand guidelines, messaging, and marketing objectives. Content Development: Develop creative concepts and storyboards for video projects that effectively communicate the lodge's unique selling points, experiences, and values. Brainstorm ideas for video series, tutorials, behind-the-scenes footage, and other content formats to engage and entertain the lodge's target audience. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in videography and storytelling. Drone Operations: Capture aerial footage using drones to showcase the lodge's stunning surroundings, wildlife, and outdoor activities. Ensure compliance with local regulations and safety guidelines for drone operations, including obtaining necessary permits and permissions. Asset Management: Organize and maintain a library of video assets, including raw footage, edited videos, and project files, for easy access and retrieval. Implement file naming conventions, metadata tagging, and backup procedures to safeguard valuable video content. Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with the marketing team, creative directors, photographers, and other stakeholders to align video content with overall marketing strategies and campaigns. Coordinate video shoots, talent bookings, equipment rentals, and logistics to ensure smooth execution of projects. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Film Production, Media Studies, or related field. Proven experience as a videographer, cinematographer, or video editor, preferably in the hospitality or travel industry. Proficiency in videography techniques, camera operation, and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro). Strong creative vision and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate concepts into visually compelling videos. Knowledge of drone operations and experience in capturing aerial footage (drone pilot certification is a plus). Attention to detail, with a keen eye for composition, lighting, and visual aesthetics. Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
