Duties include running routine safety inspections, corresponding with contractors, planning maintenance work, maintaining records, and supervising facilities staff.Working hours: 8:00-17:00 Mon-Fri but must be on standby 24 hoursOn-Site Accommodation: Water, Electricity, DSTV, Basement parking, and Wi-FiAccess to all our facilities and services including the gym, laundry, and regular cool eventsRequirements:Matric / Equivalent2-year technical degree or 4-year college degree preferred3 plus years experience in overseeing the maintenance functionExperience managing a team of more than 5 employeesMust be able to work independently and in a teamProven Team Player ability to work with a team and achieve daily and monthly goalsSelf-starter able to identify work that needs to be done and does it without required instructionDetail-oriented and pays extra attention to special requestsFacilities manager is required to occupy the accommodation for at least 5 nights per weekAfter-hours availability to attend to facility emergencies and student behavior infringements are required.Responsibilities:Planning, budget and execution of Annual Preventative and Service programsPlanning, scheduling, and execution of daily room maintenanceAdministration and reporting on daily room and communal area maintenanceStock source, control, and purchasingStoreroom management Planning, scheduling and execution of Annual and mid-term room inspectionsDaily site inspectionsReporting on-site inspectionsManage Service Level Agreements and ad-hoc Service ProvidersParticipate in the on-duty roster during week and weekend daysWork with service contractorsOversee maintenance-related procurement requestsProject-manage portfolio large-scale maintenance and renovations projectsWeekly review of the job reports to manage team performanceIdentify and act on Facilities’ categories with recurring job requestsAttend service-related emergencies 24/7Manage all facilities included in the product offeringUse best business practices to manage and reduce operating costsOptimize utility usage and distributionIncrease operational efficiency of buildings and infrastructureDeliver exceptional building and facility cleanlinessAssure positive student experience through quality maintenance and cleaning practicesPerform all tasks on schedule with maximum efficiencyWork with the Community Management team to identify opportunities to enhance the student experienceManage the facilities and service team to perform tasks at the highest quality: Maintenance team, Gardening team, Cleaning team, ContractorsPlease take note: if you have not been contacted within 14 days, please consider your application unsuccessful.
