OverviewHire Resolve’s client in the logistics industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Shift Manager to join their team in the Gqeberha, Eastern Cape.ResponsibilitiesShift outcome achieves customer contractual service levelsShift expenditures are managed within shift budget; cost overruns for the shift are investigated and appropriate countermeasures are instituted to prevent further overrunsMonitor and enforce procedural compliance on shift; staff on shift is trained on company procedureContinuous improvements for shift actively pursuedConsistently disciplined and trained staff on shift – Schedule and conduct / Hold staff meetingsResolve staff issues and queries promptlyDecisions taken guided by company values/values taken into accountEmployees are constantly reminded of valuesResponsible for shift planning by planning shifts in advanceShift plan includes staffing and equipment according to volume and timingReport on Shift outcome (Plan vs. Actual)Ensures accurate recording of staff time and attendanceCommunicate plan before shiftUnsafe matters corrected immediately on shiftShift documentation is complete and accurate for all activitiesDocumentation is filed on shift completionReporting RequirementsGrade 12 is compulsory with a Relevant Tertiary Degree, Honours Degree in Business / Supply Chain Management or similar. 3-5 Years’ experience in Warehousing and Distribution, Transport, FMCG, QRS Management. Intermediate to advanced Computer literacy MS Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Advanced (WMS) Skills and GP skills. SAP Experience. Willing to work the night shift.
