Ltd The Key Account Manager (in all market sectors using rigid plastic packaging) maintains long term relationships with our current customers and maximizes sales opportunities in current accounts within his respective segments. The job holder identifies market trends and new commercial opportunities and leads, develops, presents and converts sustainable new customer contracts in the segments listed above. Duties&Responsibilities Your key responsibilities will be: Initiate Market analysis for the segments listed above including injection mounding plastic packaging in SSA Analyze and interpret data based on market research linked to new products, market trends, competition, niche markets, new market opportunities for pharmaceutical, agro chemicals, injection moulding plastic packaging Cooperate with the other departments to generate ideas, detect needs and problems within this business area Act as the key interface between our current/ new clients and all relevant internal divisions to conduct a smooth product development project and process. Maintain professional relationships with assigned accounts at all levels and strive to continuously increase customer satisfaction. Proactively assess, clarify and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis Cooperate with other departments on product availabilities (purchasing, production, quality, logistics etc) Ensure that solid customer and supplier relations are built, maintained and managed to ensure timely delivery from suppliers, and customer satisfaction (internal or external). Fully manage (Inbound/Outbound) the levels on Raw Materials and Packaging/Returnable Packaging Ensure the effective management of Risk, Safety and Quality through risk assessments, implementation and management of behavioural based safety, task analysis and quality management to ensure a zero tolerance for unsafe acts and acceptable levels of safety incidents. Ensure effective financial management of the department by financial control, financial compliance and risk management to ensure quality outputs re delivered within budget. Developed, implemented and managed annual operational plans and project plans that are aligned with the strategic objectives of the organization. Desired Experience&Qualification Qualifications/ Requirements: Completed technical or commercial degree (Bachelor or Master) or equivalent degree with focus on Sales or a Chemical Engineering or Polymer Science Qualification (Diploma/Degree) 5 +years’ experience in Sales or Business Development within segments listed, Injection Moulding or Rigid Plastic and/or FMCG related business field Preference will be given to exposure and experience in Food Packaging Competencies (Knowledge, Skills&Abilities) In your former functions, you have demonstrated strong customer focus, ability to build customer relationships and to successfully scout for new opportunities Proven record of pushing projects forward Project management and problem solving skills A good understanding of the Commercial aspects in business is required Excellent command of written and spoken English as well as other languages Showing insight in systems management principles and systems alignment with company strategy Strong people management skills; the ability to identify talent, mobilise individuals and teams towards the achievement of departmental objectives Scanning the departmental/discipline specific business environment to ensure best practice is applied Representing the organisation and department within the management team as well as external environment Agility Emotional Resilience Learning orientation Exceptional work ethic and strict adherence to company policy and procedures Analytical Manufacturing These jobs were popular with other job seekers David Brown Santasalo South Africa (Pty.)
