Your opportunity: As part of the Academic Initiatives team, which supports curricular community-engaged learning at the University, the Coordinator, Faculty Development will develop, convene and support professional development networks and events for faculty who work with community partners across the University. This role will develop innovative networks, programs, services and resources to support faculty as they work with external communities and grassroots, nonprofit and public organizations. The Coordinator will work actively to promote a culture of community engagement at the University, devising networks, events and resources that attend to accessand inclusion and that are rooted in anti-oppressive and assets-based approaches to community engagement. Your responsibilities will include: Conceptualizing, organizing and executing program activities Overseeing the delivery of programs and/or workshops Developing learning outcomes for workshops and/or services Facilitating educational workshops and seminars Analyzing and making recommendations for programming enhancements Building and strengthening relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importance Advising others on the development and evaluation of course and training materials Designing surveys to support the evaluation of strategies and objectives Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree preferred, in a discipline focused on education, training and development. Minimum five years experience in program development, delivery and evaluation in post-secondary settings. Of the five years experience, a minimum two years developing programming to meet learning and training outcomes for university faculty. Demonstrated experience leading environmental scans, literature reviews and scholarly presentations and publications. Demonstrated understanding of the principles and practices of community-engaged learning and/or community-engaged research. Familiar with experiential learning strategies including, but not limited to, experiential program design, reflection and assessment. Experience leading the management of large events. Demonstrated exceptional relationship-building and stewardship skills. Able to work collaboratively and collegially. Excellent communication, presentation, training, interpersonal, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated commitment to anti-oppressive and anti-racist practice.
