Your opportunity: The Rehabilitation Sciences Sector (RSS) in the Temerty Faculty of Medicine is a world leader in the delivery of rehabilitation sciences health professional programs and research. The RSS is comprised of four essential departments: Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy (OSOT), Department of Physical Therapy (PT), Rehabilitation Sciences Institute (RSI), and the Department of Speech-Language Pathology (SLP). As Manager, Academic Programs, you will play a principal role in overseeing academic programs and services across our newly integrated Sector. Working closely with RSS Chairs and senior administrative leaders, you will develop plans, establish business processes and lead complex projects related to educational programs and student placements, electives, experiential learning, and community-based service learnings. Your record of building and mentoring collaborative teams, ensuring the delivery of integrated and effective student experiences and leading the process of continuous improvement of our programs’ curriculum service design and delivery will help us enhance our Sector’s efficiency, effectiveness and operational agility. Essential Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Student Affairs, Education or related field to the discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Minimum five (5) years of related administrative experience in a university, medical school, teaching hospital or comparable environment • Knowledge and experience supporting clinical education programs and clinical training opportunities • Experience with education program management and student placements in an academic environment • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with curriculum development and processes • Experience managing projects and leading successful change, including developing strategies, implementing initiatives and establishing best practices • Experience managing, leading and mentoring staff, preferably in a unionized environment • A well-developed financial acumen, including financial analysis and budgeting • Strong understanding of principles of equity; experience working with under-represented groups and supporting inclusion initiatives • Knowledge of collective agreement interpretation and administration • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, learning management systems and educational technology systems (Quercus, POWER, Slate, ROSI), content management systems and survey tools • Strong ability to build and maintaining effective working relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders • Highly developed verbal and written communication and presentation skills • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong ability to foster and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders • Extensive knowledge of accreditation processes and program procedures for reviews and audits. • Strong team-building skills and a collaborative and consultative leadership style; excellent analytical skills and creative problem-solving ability • Excellent organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills • Demonstrated ability to seek innovative and creative solutions with a personal commitment to excellence • Responsive and high degree of flexibility • Strong attention to detail and manage competing priorities within a complex environment Closing Date: 06/07/2024, 11:59PM ET Employee Group: Salaried Appointment Type : Budget - Continuing Schedule: Full-Time Pay Scale Group&Hiring Zone: PM 2 -- Hiring Zone: $80,474 - $93,884 -- Broadband Salary Range: $80,474 - $134,120 Job Category: Administrative / Managerial All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority.
