This approach ensures that the College remains attentive and responsive to student ideas and concerns.Your opportunity:Innis College offers the Urban Studies and Writing & Rhetoric academic programs, first-year learning through Innis One and the FYF@Innis Programs, and writing support to students through the Innis Writing Centre. Under the general direction of both the Directors of Urban Studies and Writing & Rhetoric, the Innis College Program Coordinator is the first point of contact for general inquiries for all Innis academic programs and administration for internship courses. This includes coordinating admission and registration; liaising between students and program Directors, and with the Office of the Innis College Registrar and with the Faculty of Arts & Science; facilitating counselling and services to students while handling sensitive and confidential information; coordinating the program budget, including tracking of spending; participating in the development and circulation of electronic and written promotional materials; coordinating meeting schedules, agendas, classroom bookings, action and follow-up items; coordinating the recruitment of teaching assistants, course instructors, sessional lecturers and stipend instructors; maintaining information on digital platforms; coordinating tasks for projects and other strategic initiatives with stakeholders; and participating in College processes within a parity governance environment. The Program Coordinator will also support outreach and recruitment, and must have a willingness and ability to drive and promote Innis programs and events to further build the Innis community and alumni network.Your responsibilities will include: Advising students on program and/or course requirements by probing and providing a range of options and possible consequencesChecking completeness of applicationsChecking that program requirements are completeGenerating reportsHandling sensitive and/or confidential informationRecording detailed transactions for many accountsEssential Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.Minimum three (3) years providing program support and guidance to students.Experience providing advice to students on program and course requirements.Experience reviewing, assessing, and determining appropriateness of applications.Experience working with students with emphasis on the Faculty of Arts & Science undergraduate academic guidelines and procedures.Demonstrated experience developing and providing a strong client service experience and culture.Experience preparing reports, conducting data analysis, writing and editing documents and correspondence, and compiling data.Experience facilitating and organizing meetings.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Excellent writing and oral and interpersonal skills with a superior service orientation and ability to deal tactfully, personably, and effectively with staff and faculty, with students at all levels, as well as with the general public; ability to maintain confidentiality.Demonstrated attention to detail with an ability to manage event logistics and to coordinate multi-step committee activities.Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret procedures, and guidelines and to coordinate information and correspondence with minimal review.Demonstrated ability to exercise good problem-solving skills and judgement to deal with a variety of responsibilities in a high-volume environment, with frequent interruptions.Strong computer and keyboarding skills, advanced knowledge of MS applications (Word, Excel and Outlook Calendar, Adobe Acrobat) in an MS Windows environment, proficiency with e-mail communication, web tools, and internet applications.To be successful in this role you will be:ApproachableArticulateDiplomaticMulti-taskerOrganizedProactive Closing Date: 05/28/2024, 11:59PM ETEmployee Group: USW Appointment Type: Budget - Term Schedule: Full-TimePay Scale Group & Hiring Zone: USW Pay Band 10 -- $69,455 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $88,819.
