We are an assembly of over 640 members; faculty and trainees combined who are dedicated to providing outstanding clinical care for every patient across the city and the province and to constantly improving care through relentless innovation.As Project Manager, Education Programs, you will lead the development, implementation and evaluation of project plans, accreditation processes and workflows targeted at strengthening the delivery of our education programs across the department. Working closely with senior leadership and program administrators, you will collaborate with a broad group of stakeholders to help advance key education initiatives under time sensitive deadlines and inform leaders of any roadblocks. Your excellent project management and analytical skills will enhance the delivery of our programs and create a positive experience for our learners.Your responsibilities will include:Planning and implementing accreditation reviews and audits, advising on submission requirementsCreating workflows and scheduling of project teams as well as monitoring project expenditures and accountsProducing complex statistical data along with analyzing data sets and generating financial reportsDeveloping and implementing instructional strategies and workshops to support learning objectives, incorporating current best practices in teachingDirecting the activities of a single ongoing staff-appointed employeeEssential Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.Minimum of six (6) to seven (7) years of experience working within an academic and/or health care setting with related experience in strategy development and implementation of academic programs, initiatives and accreditation processesDemonstrated project management experience, including development, implementation and evaluation of education project initiativesExperience analyzing and interpreting data findings to produce statistical information and comprehensive reports, including communication materials, proposals and briefingsExperience with working with senior academic administrators in multiple divisionsExperience supervising staff within a unionized environmentExperience supporting the design and implementation of accreditation and evaluation activitiesAdvanced MS Office Suite, Adobe Professional, learning management systems and survey toolsExcellent leadership and organizational skills in project management, planning and task coordinationAbility to work independently with a high degree of initiative, discretion, and tact; ability and willingness to work cooperatively in a challenging and dynamic environmentDiplomatic, professional andpersuasive in establishing strategic partnershipsExceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to problem solve and deal effectively with multiple priorities and projects with conflicting deadlines while maintaining a high degree of quality and accuracyAssets (Nonessential):Experience coordinating postgraduate residency training programs; interpreting and applying policies and procedures, particularly from the Postgraduate Medical Education Office (PGME) and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) highly desirableTo be successful in this role you will be:Goal orientedOrganizedProceduralSelf-directedPlease note that this position is a 3-year term.
