Duties & ResponsibilitiesIdentify and develop new business opportunities in the logistics industry.Maintain and grow existing customer accounts secured by the executive, through effective relationship management and customer service.Follow up on new leads and referrals.Achieve sales targets and revenue goals.Prepare and deliver presentations to potential and existing customers.Negotiate contracts and pricing with customers.Collaborate with other departments, including operations and customer service, to ensure customer satisfaction.Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management.Attend trade shows, conferences, and networking events to build relationships and promote the company.Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.Desired Experience & QualificationTechnical requirements:Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing customer accountsMatricMinimum 5 years relevant industry experienceImport/Export/Cross Trade Air/Sea knowledgePrevious experience with the Ship Shape system will be advantageousProficiency using MS Word, Excel, and OutlookExcellent knowledge of Incoterms and all major trade lanes into South Africa. Skills:Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to travel as needed.Numeracy skillsProblem Solving SkillsAbility to work under pressureQuality FocusedStrong team playerMust be energetic with good follow through skills.Must be presentable when dealing with customers and suppliers.Good telephonic & interpersonal skills & manners.
