The Financial Manager is responsible for the overall management of the companys finances internal controls and stator and company reporting. This includes the financial stability of the company by maintaining accurate an up to date financial information as well as identifying cost saving and efficiency opportunities through analysis and reporting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.KEY PERFORMANCE AREASFinancial analysis and business reporting:o Monthly business reporting of management accountso Financial forecasting and recommendationso Monthly and ad hoc analysis with recommendations to the MD and Chief Operating Officer (COO) regarding strategies for improving the companys financial strength as well as various ad hoc unspecified tasks as and when requested by the MD (such as drawing up propensity and profit models etc.)o Prepare and present financial reportso Prepare consolidated annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS o Perform analysis and comparisons in order to support a required business case Taxation and statutory management:o Tax management according to current tax legislation o Manage the annual BBBEE verification and handle correspondence with compliance agencyo Manage the year-end audit procedures and liaise directly with auditorso Cash flow management and reportingo Manage daily financial operationso Divisional budgetary preparation, management and reportingo Efficient treasury management Financial control and process management:o Maintain an accurate accounting system and effective financial controlso Automate processes, reporting and procedures required to mitigate operating risks identified o Improve controls and ensure standardised processes are documented and adhered to in each function according to company standardo Perform audits to ensure financial and corporate governance complianceo Maintain group transaction flow between various companies and a trust Relationships:o Build constructive relationships within the team and across the businesso Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver seamlessly integrated quality products to clientsQUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIFICATIONSEducation:o Registered membership with SAICA (as a CAo Recognised accounting/finance honours degree together with completed articles. Experience:o 10 to 15 years financial experience with at least 5 years in management. o Experience in managing teams of peopleo Knowledge of Navision an advantageo Proficient with all relevant tax requirementso Microsoft Windows: Advanced level: Excel, Word, Outlook The job profile and key performance areas of this position are not intended to be an exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities and may from time to time be amended according to the companys operational requirements.
