Responsibilities Responsible for overall technical aspects of plastic moulding operationsDrive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce costs, and enhance product quality and performanceManage the maintenance and repair of moulds and tooling equipment to minimize down timeLead the design and development of injection moulds, collaborating closely with production, toolmakers, and external vendors where relevantOptimize injection moulding processes to maximize production, reduce scrap rates, and improve overall efficiencyEstablish and maintain quality control procedures and standards for plastic moulding operationsProvide technical support and expertise to production teams, troubleshooting process problems, and conducting training sessions to enhance relevant skillsNew product development via technical input, feasibility studies, and collaborating with manufacturing and maintenance teamsEnsure compliance with relevant industry and customer standards, as well as complying with all company safety and other policiesRequirements MatricDegree in Mechanical EngineeringMUST HAVE +10 years Plastic Manufacturing experience. This is NOT negotiableIn-depth knowledge of plastic moulding processes, tooling design, materials selection, trouble shooting and quality control principlesStrong leadership and management skillsAble to inspire and motivate teamsGood analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyse complex technical issuesEffective communication and interpersonal skills with staff and customers at all levelsFully computer literate MS Office suiteSalary is strictly dependent on qualification, skill set and relevant industry experienceSouth African Citizens only
