My client are headquartered in Europe and oversee the full project lifecycle.Responsibilities:Work in close cooperation and contact with the Development ManagerSpearhead project development to Identify, develop and evaluate new and existing projects opportunities for solar, wind, storage and hybrid technologies in South-AfricaIdentify and secure land rights, grid connection feasibility, lead permitting and all authorizations until Financial Close using GIS and other tools, assisting in the project development processManage the day-to-day activities and contacts for the project, including subcontractors' and suppliers of onsite measurement equipmentPrepare and manage project budget & development plan in cooperation / guided by the Development team and ManagementEnsure the implementation of the projects development in line with the Company objectives and targetsEnsure that projects are developed on-time, within budget and compliantEnsure the technical feasibility of the project and propose measures to reduce risk, time and cost of implementationWork in close collaboration with Internal DepartmentsPerform risk management to minimize project and development risksManage and report on time all changes in project scope, schedule and costsReport and escalate to Development Manager & Steering Committee as neededManage the relationship with internal and external stakeholdersCreate, store and maintain comprehensive project documentationPrepare presentations and reports for Steering Committee, International Development team and ManagementMaintain and promote values, strength and reputation of company and its business lines in markets of responsibilityRequirements:Post-graduation or specialization in Project Management is a plusEngineering qualificationMore than 7 years working as a Project Manager in South AfricaPrior experience with renewable energy project development is a plusExperience in interacting with external stakeholders in a professional environmentAdvanced user of Project Management toolsEnglish and other language a plusKey Skills:Team player, ability to ensure support and collaboration both internally and externallyStrong analytical skills and result-oriented perspectiveProblem solving and proactive mindset and hands-on attitudePositive, "can do" attitudeAble to manage time and tasks efficiently, operating under pressure and tight deadlinesStrong work ethic, motivation and drive to grow in the companyResourceful and critical thinker, not only pointing out problems but also proposing solutions and ideasAvailability to travel extensivelyIf you are interested in this opportunity, please send your CV through to Georgia Sumnall at gsumnall@leap29.com.#J-18808-Ljbffr
