StoremanWe are recruiting for a Storeman to join one of our clients at their offices based in Maitland, Cape Town. The company produces high-calibre water meters, and the ideal candidate needs to come with 3 years’ experience working as a Storeman. Matric.Possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Storeman. Minimum Requirements:Matric.Possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Storeman.Essential: Microsoft Office Suite. Roles and Responsibilities:Receipt Management: Responsible for receiving inventory shipments and conducting thorough inspections to verify both the quantity and quality of items received.Inventory Organisation: Ensure that received inventory is accurately portioned into appropriate picking sizes, facilitating efficient retrieval during order fulfilment.Picking Process Oversight: Supervise the physical picking of inventory against provided picking slips, ensuring accuracy and completeness of orders prepared for dispatch.Order Fulfilment: Coordinate the picking of inventory items required for sales orders, ensuring proper labelling, packaging, and updating of waybills to facilitate timely dispatch.Stock Availability Monitoring: Fulfil requests from the Stores Manager by checking component availability to support the Production Plan, ensuring sufficient stock levels to meet operational requirements.Stock Verification: Conduct physical stock verifications upon request from the Sales department to ascertain shelf stock accuracy.Warehouse Maintenance: Always maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.Accessibility Optimization: Pack inventory in a manner that facilitates easy access and retrieval, promoting efficient warehouse operations.Documentation Management: Maintain accurate records through the management of Bins Cards for Brass Products and the computerised capture of serial numbers.Stock Take Support: Assist in quarterly stock takes and ad hoc stock counts as requested by management, contributing to inventory accuracy and integrity.Closing Date:Submissions for this vacancy will close on 20 May 2024, however, you will still have the opportunity to submit your CV for this position till 13 June 2024.Please Note:Thank you for submitting your CV to Marvel Placement Consultants.
