The Role: TASC is looking for a carbon project development manager to develop our exiting international project portfolio and identify new project opportunities. We are looking for an individual who can manage our projects in compliance with relevant carbon standards. The primary responsibility will be to ensure that research, documentation and data are in place for the delivery of carbon credits; keeping pace with business and investment models. This will require the individual to be fully up-to-date with the most recent interpretations of the rules governing each carbon standard (CDM, Gold Standard, Verra etc.). The individual must assist in preparing for and conducting monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) activities. A key requirement will be to liaise with external auditors and deliver practical solutions to compliance problems that allows TASC to maximize carbon credit yields. It will be vital for the individual to work directly with TASC's project teams to ensure that monitoring data is recorded correctly, monitoring surveys are conducted in accordance with the rules and emission reductions are calculated accurately. This individual will develop and oversee the implementation of a plan for quality control and quality assurance of monitoring data. Finally, we are looking for someone who can help evaluate new project opportunities for TASC. This means having a string understanding of standard project methodologies to provide forecast emission reductions by project type. Responsibilities: Design and implement baseline studies and surveys Write and amend PDDs and monitoring reports Keep up-to-date with the latest rulings from the carbon regulatory bodies (CDM, GS, Verra etc.) and apply this knowledge to TASC's projects Train and support local project teams QA/QC of all monitoring data Calculate and forecast emission reductions across the TASC portfolio Support validation/verification audit processes Review carbon methodologies and forecast emission reductions from new project opportunities The Individual: We are looking for a highly motivated environmental sciences graduate. Any experience with carbon standards or emission reduction project development is a benefit. We need someone with excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to write precise documentation for carbon compliance purposes. They must be well organised and demonstrate the ability to report information effectively and timeously. Proven numerical and data analysis skills using databases, MS Excel/Access are also of importance.
