Our story. From coding bootcamp to global career development platform. The iX founder was incredibly grateful for his Yale undergraduate experience but felt there was something fundamentally lacking from his four years on campus. He was high on theoretical knowledge but low on skills. The material he had learned was already out of date by the time he graduated. He dreamt of creating a company that prepared students for the future, inspired them to challenge themselves, and push them out of their comfort zones where limitless learning takes place. iXperience started in 2013 as a study abroad coding bootcamp that would bridge the gap between academia and industry. Since then, it's grown into a global operation that has helped more than 4000 students accelerate their careers while exploring the world. Throughout, our focus has stayed on creating authentic connections within our community. We go to great lengths to get to know our students, teachers, and partner companies, which we believe has been instrumental to our success. Our vibey studio offices are based at Innovation City in Kloof Street, Gardens, Cape Town, South Africa. Your role as part of the iX Team iX is looking for a Head of Marketing to lead a new customer acquisition strategy and team. We are looking for a sharp, quantitative, and results-oriented leader who will hire, manage, and mentor a cross-functional team to drive new customer acquisition. The right candidate has a wealth of experience deploying campaigns across multiple channels, experimenting with channel mix, customer journey design, and balancing performance and brand campaigns. This role presents a unique opportunity to join a fast-moving, well-established South African company with an international market, and make an impact on the lives of thousands of people each year through experiential education. By harmonising the creativity of our design team, the strategic vision of iXperience, and the customer-centric approach of our sales team, the Head of Marketing will aim to forge a powerful synergy that propels our business towards growth and success. More specifically, you’ll be responsible for: Owning iX’s digital lead generation strategy by developing plans to generate short-term new customer acquisition and build a foundation for long-term growth. Build a differentiated lead generation and brand building strategy, leveraging cutting edge paid and owned digital channels and scaling alternative offline and online channels (influencers, podcasts, content syndication, SEO, job boards, OOH, direct mail, etc.). Build a lead nurturing system, in partnership with the Sales team. Manage our online reputation, and drive strategies to improve this. Partner closely with other teams to inform budget planning against business forecast goals and identify additional opportunities for growth across the business. The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience: You have 4 - 7 years of growth marketing experience, preferably with at least 2-3 years of experience working with international markets. You showed continuous career progression with increased levels of responsibility. You have 3+ years of leading high-performing cross-functional teams. You have experience building direct response acquisition and nurturing campaigns that seek to build relationships with prospects and use value to convert them. You have achieved impressive growth results in previous roles and are able to build acquisition strategies from scratch using a full-stack digital marketing skill set. You have strong analytical skills across core business metrics. You are well-*** in basic financial forecast approaches and LTV/CAC modelling. You understand and work with marketing technology and can implement attribution, analytics, and automation projects. You have natural intuition around growth creatives, and are able to use market research, customer insights, and data to build scalable advertising engines to drive growth. You have intermediate copywriting and design experience that can aid in your ability to quickly create high-impact campaigns across channels, when needed.
