Sportsmans Warehouse is looking for a highly motivated SEO/SEM and PPC Specialist who is passionate about all things paid media, SEM and SEO to join the E-commerce department at our Head Office in Cape Town. Reporting to the E-Commerce Executive, this role is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career in the B2C e-commerce environment while working at South Africa’s leading sports retailer. You must have an appetite for staying on top of the latest tech and digital systems trends and be eager to learn on the fly in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude, passion for optimisation and excellent communication and team skills are a must with the ability to work well under pressure on multiple deadlines. Responsibilities Management of SEO, Google Ads and Meta Ads accounts Implementation of SEO, PPC strategies according to product, category and campaign objectives Researching ideas, monitoring trends, and proposing ideas Perform detailed keyword research to optimize existing content and uncover new opportunities, while continually improving the effectiveness of organic search results Preparing detailed reports and providing feedback on the success or failures of strategies, and ideas of where to optimise further Requirements Minimum 2-3 years’ experience working at a digital marketing agency and / or in a retail e-commerce business in a SEM and SEO role Relevant academic background in digital marketing and Google certifications, or related program Adept at managing multiple channels across multiple categories Skilled in Google Ads, Meta Business Manager, Google Analytics, SEMRush and other SEM tools Skilled in SEO/SEM research, strategy development and implementation Skilled in BI tools such as PowerBI or Google Looker Excellent reporting, copywriting and communications skills Detail focused, strong problem-solving, analytical and trouble-shooting skills Well organised with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines Advantages: Experience with e-commerce in a retail environment would be advantageous A passion for sports Sportsmans Warehouse, a division of the Holdsport Group, is committed to the principles of the Employment Equity Act, and to achieving an equitably representative and diverse workforce.
