Key responsibilities&character traits Collaborate&create Work hand-in-hand with our Springbok teachers and fellow editor to craft and edit lesson videos. As both an editor and teacher at heart, you view your editing through the lens of the teenager who’ll be learning this concept for the very first time. You ensure that videos are informative, captivating, and will result in real learning taking place. Use your great communication skills to accurately interpret teachers’ editing notes, and coach teachers on how to communicate more clearly to avoid back-and-forth in the future. Detail oriented perfectionist You must be a detail-oriented perfectionist with high standards of excellence. Although it’s not technically your job, you’ll go the extra mile to provide valuable feedback to teachers, helping them enhance their lessons. You'll ensure our lessons maintain a consistent, high-quality brand that is unmistakably Huddle. Your keen eye catches even minor spelling and subject errors, reflecting your commitment to our learners. Filming skills Whilst primarily focused on editing, you’ll roll up your sleeves to film our teachers in Huddlewood Studio, and occasionally visit partner schools around the Western Cape to capture our evolving story. Innovative and quick learner You’re constantly on the lookout for new AI and other editing tools that will increase the efficiency and quality of our lessons. You’re a quick learner. You love receiving feedback and have a growth mindset. A well-oiled machine with a sprinkle of magic You’re that rare breed of human who’s obsessed with both efficiency and creativity. You edit quickly and precisely, and continually improve processes to ensure that all teachers can hit their target of 3 lessons per week. As a productivity geek, you get fulfilment from tackling hours of routine editing work (knowing that not all editing is glamorous). As a creative, you get fulfilment from the little moments where you sprinkle creativity, magic and out-the-box thinking into our lessons. Our learners will know that these videos were touched by someone dedicated to their soulcraft. Experience: At least 1 year of video editing experience. Certifications in video editing are desirable. Software Savvy: Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro. Knowledge of Filmora is a bonus. Tech Skills: Efficient in lighting, filming, chroma keying green screens, and sourcing virtual backgrounds that align with our creative vision. Time Management: Strong ability to manage time well and work well under pressure. Competitive Salary: We offer a salary range of R10K (intern-level) to R30K (senior) per month, based on your proven track record of exceptional performance.
