Under the management of the BD Support Manager the Project Engineer will be responsible for: Support Internal Projects during the preparation phase (before Investment Committee decision) by:Planning, coordinating, and evaluating technical and financial aspects of the construction of such projectEnsuring that all relevant HSES aspects are included during the development phase of the projectsWith the support from Procurement, ensuring that project costs estimations are properly categorized and promoting a regular feedback mindset (production rates, cost of materials, etc.)Supporting the DEV Project Manager’s on-site audits and help identifying opportunities and limitations of the project design (in terms of civil, mechanical, and electrical outlines)Securing proper early handover to Construction PMs at the right time before RTB/NTP of the projectsSupport the preparation of project cost Budgets to support both non-binding and binding offers for external and internal customers:Integrating inputs from multi department to prepare the required Bid deliverables to CustomersCoordinating all internal departments to capture required input information for Project Cost Budget elaboration (*** assessment)Supporting project final negotiation phase from a cost optimization sideEvaluating cost solidity and prepare cash flow curve for all projects before gate reviewsPreparing and participating Management budget reviews and project gate reviewsSending EPC *** proposals to internal customers (DEV, ASIF) and managing clarification requestsSupporting EPC Sales engineers in clarification and negotiating EPC contracts technical appendixesSupport the projects under construction assisting the project team with:Prospecting local suppliers/subcontractors and assisting in the preparation of RFQ/RFPsSupporting the negotiation phase helping to align the proposals technically and cost wiseFollowing up cost management taking the lessons learnt and implementing correcting measures for future projectsSupporting EPC Project Management team in clarification and negotiating EPC subcontracts technical and commercial appendixesKeep the Opportunity Management System (OMS) updated with all key information for Sales Gates evaluation and Offers approval:Ensuring all information required for budget preparation are properly stored in OMSPreparing and launching Sales Gates requests and approval via OMSPreparing Handover with Sales engineer to the Construction team.Supporting relevant initiatives launched within the Bidding Team for cost optimization, competitiveness improvement, and bidding tools improvement.
