ENVIRONMENT: OUR client, a provider of comprehensive IT solutions to provide IT support to a customer base across South Africa and parts of the United Kingdom seeks a highly meticulous&analytical professional to fill the role of an Accounts Clerk and Administration. Your role will entail reconciling weekly statements, allocating direct payments received and balancing to daily banking while preparing and submitting data for payments transmission and processing direct invoices and credit notes. Applicants will require Matric/Grade 12 with Accounting as a subject, a relevant Certification with at least 2-3 years’ work experience in Bookkeeping/Debtors. DUTIES: Reconcile weekly statements. Allocation of direct payments received and balancing to daily banking. Customer invoicing. Liaise with retailers and customers to resolve queries and claims. Follow up of unpaid / overdue accounts. Process direct invoices and credit notes. Daily balancing of transactions. Prepare and submit data for payments transmission to bank and reconciling afterwards. Perform any ad hoc financial tasks. There will be overlapping of Debtors Clerk duties some days to fill in. REQUIREMENTS: Matric/Grade 12 Certificate (with Accounting as a subject). Relevant Certificate (Required). 2-3 Years experience in Bookkeeping/Debtors. 3 Years experience with Administrative office procedures, practices and equipment. Up to date with Accounting standards. Sound interpersonal and communication (telephone and writing) skills. High attention to detail. The ability to work independently is essential. Advanced computer skills, especially MS Excel and MS Word. Knowledge of working on Vero accounting software (advantageous). ATTRIBUTES: Operate effectively in a team environment.
