If you are an accounting professional and solution-oriented with an eye for detail, then this could be you. What you will be doing.As our Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day finance activities within South Africa & the region, ensuring the finance function is organized and efficient and produces accurate financial accounts and supporting the business in operational requirements.Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:Assisting and ensuring the efficient running of the accounting system for the business including maintaining project accounting, the information in the system, and ensuring all ledgers are reconciled.Supporting the Regional Finance Director as required, and generally assisting with the preparation of budgets and credit control activities.Assisting with payroll and payments to employees and ensure payments of taxes promptly.Responsible for correlation of timesheets, WIP, and UBR as well as payment of OOPsAssisting with monthly accounts and routine finance reports, budgets, analysis, and cash flows.Load daily and month-end payments for suppliers and service providers, and input into cash flow records.Assisting with managing and reconciling bank weekly and monthly.Monitoring inter-company balances every month.Prepare invoices for clients in a timely and professional manner and maintain cash collection from clients.Maintain financial files and records.Local taxations & commercial registrationsAssisting with year-end statutory accounts and schedules and annual audits.Assisting with annual budgeting preparationsAnd other duties as assigned.The role is in Cape Town, South Africa and the incumbent needs to have the right to work and reside in South Africa.  This role is office-based. However, some flexibility can be considered for the right candidate.What we are looking for.We are looking for a detail-oriented candidate who demonstrates financial and office management skills with a strong attitude to work and adapts to a fast-paced environment while remaining organized and proactive in managing a varied workload.
