Position Description / Overview:Based in East London, within a Tier-1 Automotive Supplier, the Logistics Planner reports to the Logistics Manager.Minimum Requirements / Experience:Relevant tertiary qualification5+ years’ experience within automotive manufacturingWorking knowledge of industry software/system advantageousResponsibilities:To place weekly raw material orders with suppliersTrack customer variation on orders that could be transmitted to our supplier baseExpedite order using the standard transport modeEscalate material or supplier problemsEnsure to monitor on-time deliveryEnsure that all import requirements are met (FCL/LCL requirements – TO’s, forecasts etc)Review and action delivery discrepanciesManage excess and obsolescence managementEngineering change managementWork with the team on CIPsCycle count control of parts at risk / needing reviewSupplier managementCompetencies / Skills:Good administrative experienceStrong computer skillsHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detailAble to work independentlyStrong communicator#J-18808-Ljbffr
