We are seeking a trade tested Electrician or Millwright for an automotive supplier in East London to ensure tooling and equipment conforms to the Group’s HSE standards and that production equipment is well maintained and in good working order. Responsibilities:Fault finding; repairs and installationMaintain and service equipmentBreakdown time recording at machine (from start to finish)Service reports to be completed after each serviceMaintain products equipment as per machine manualSpare parts availabilityEnsure spare equipment in good working order.Housekeeping and maintenance clean and tidying of work area throughout the shift and on completion of every shift.Attend to any oil and water leaks at machine immediately.Main responsibilities:Maximum machine availability and support to production.Contribute to the improvement of electrical and mechanical standardsEnsure electrical and mechanical equipment conforms to the Group’s HSE standardsEnsure that production equipment is well maintained and in good working orderMaintenance of tooling and related equipmentFacilities are well maintainedNeed to be contactable after hours to support.Weekly Maintenance reportsProcess related problem solving and support.Support and set up of machines, robots and grippers.To now all equipment performance capability’sTo know each equipment duty and what effect it will have if its under performingMake sure all work orders etc. are attended toClose of work orders in CVePlant equipment must be stopped, and management must be notified immediately of possible risk to plant or co-workers.Follow the escalation procedure when I machine is stopped.Quality knowledgeThe job holder is obliged to follow the processes of the current versions of the IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 or ISO 50001 standards described in the business management system if these are certified at the location and comply with the regulations applicable in the HR area. Manual and guidelines are available in the department.Requirements Extensive knowledge of plastic injection tooling & processesCompleted higher certificate grade 12 or equivalent.Qualified Artisan – Millwright or ElectricianGood computer skills and experience especially Microsoft ExcelCost awareness relating to scrap parts
