This role involves overseeing plant and equipment maintenance tasks to enhance work practices and operational efficiency. As an Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that necessary maintenance preparations and tasks align with standard maintenance practices. Key Responsibilities: Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and repair tasks. Execute specific preventative maintenance on machines according to established schedules. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues as they arise. Inspect equipment to identify malfunctions, replacements, and repair needs. Clean and repair equipment as necessary. Adhere to safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation. Recommend process improvements for enhanced efficiency and safety. Maintain toolboxes and tools in good condition. Practice good housekeeping, ensuring a clean, safe, and organized work area. Facilitate communication and task handover between shifts and teams. Contribute to waste management initiatives. Demonstrate strong organizational skills and a positive attitude while working effectively in a team. Be available for rotating shifts, weekends, call-outs, and overtime as required. Requirements: Demonstrated experience as an Equipment Technician or in a similar role, preferably within the solar industry. Proficient technical knowledge and understanding of various types of equipment used in solar manufacturing. Capability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics related to solar equipment. Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Strong attention to detail and precision in equipment maintenance and repair tasks. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Capacity to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Possession of a valid driver's license.
