The Purpose The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for store sales, product, inventory and systems.This role must lead the impeccable execution of retail planning, ensuring the consistent application of business controls. Imperative to the success of this role is meeting financial and service targets. Key Responsibilities : ● Ability to take the store manager and area manager's instruction and ensure the proper dissemination of business imperatives to staff, ensuring the proper understanding and timeous execution of business plans and monthly targets ● Ensure the store staff comprehend and comply with the policies and procedures of the business ● Ensure accurate and timeous daily reporting on your store status and compliance requirements to the relevant internal stakeholders ● Ensure all in-house retail displays are quality-controlled&brand-aligned, including the store staff's hygiene and appearance. ● Ensure daily and weekly sales targets and reviews are done with the Store Manager ● Ensure store stock is ordered timeously, and as per your store sales insights (accuracy of size curve, SKU, and color wave as per discussion with your stock controller) ● Ensure risk aversion measures are maintained and there is the minimization of store stock loss by influencing store culture to be aligned to the value proposition of the business (i.e. respect, integrity, authenticity, humility, transparency, impact, diversity, and inclusion) ● Increase store revenue by driving an exceptional customer service experience in store ● Ensures that time and attendance of staff are as per the scheduling ● Ensure consistent knowledge by store staff by teaching them and providing they become subject matter experts on Bathu products, systems, customer service, sales, merchandising, cash handling, and policies ● Ensure to conduct morning team meetings to discuss sales performance with all staff ● Ensures to complete cash-ups and banking accurately and in good time Behavioral Competencies: ● Highly self-motivated ● The ability to manage, motivate and inspire others ● Display a positive and proactive approach to leading change ● Attention to detail ● Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and computer literacy) ● Thrives off a busy and dynamic environment ● A flexible approach to working hours, including weekend working ● Sales driven ● Customer service excellence ● Passionate&enthusiastic Qualifications and Experience: ● A minimum requirement of a completed Grade 12 with an excellent command of South African languages ● An excellent application of computer skills ● Desirable to have a degree or diploma in retail/ sales management or a related field ● A minimum of 2 years experience in retail #J-18808-Ljbffr
