Process Engineer required for a reputable automotive manufacturing company based in East London, Eastern CapeRequirements:Minimum requirement - National Diploma in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering/Qualified ArtisanAt least 3 – 5 years within Automotive Industry in similar positionStrong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesAbility to take initiative, have good problem-solving skills, excellent time management and able to work independentlyAbility to interpret engineering drawingsKnowledge of APQP, PPAP, PSW, FMEA, Control Plans and G8DKnowledge of SPC, Cm, Cmk, Pp PpPk, Cp CPkKnowledge of IATF16949 standardsKnowledge of ABB / Kuka Robotics and joining technologies will be advantageousAbility to work under pressureGood computer skills, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) & AutoCADKnowledge in Kaizen toolsResponsibilities:Ensure customer requirements are met with regards to geometry of the car componentsGuarantee process and quality of products manufacturedResponsible for time studies and ergonomics, Set-up production Line StandardsOptimize plant layout to improve material & product flow in plantInvestigate and resolve manufacturing related problems and sub-standards performanceInvolvement in continuous improvement principlesDrive Lean Manufacturing activitiesInvestigate and implement continuous improvements initiativesImprovement in Line OEE according to MESImprove and optimize line cycle timesGenerate and implement cost saving projectsEvaluating the ongoing performance of processes and products to meet customer requirementsDevelop action plans for realization of improvement projectsDevelop and implement work instructions and documentationEnsure latest level work instructions and displayed and availableEnsure ECR are implemented and controlled throughout the production processesCompiling of process documentation and ensuring it comply with customer requirementsIdentify customer requirements and translate them into process and product specificationsInvestigate customer complaints and implement counter measuresAssist with the completion of internal and external corrective actionsImprove part stability (Cp/Cpk value)Assist in training staffShould you wish to apply please email your CV through to Kerry O’Hagan at#J-18808-Ljbffr
