Remuneration and benefits will be commensurate with the seniority of the role and in compliance with company remuneration policy and practice.Job Introduction:Tactical Support UnitG4S Cash Solutions (SA), a leading provider of integrated cash management solutions, has a vacancy for a Tactical Support Unitbased at our operations in Eastern Cape (situated at the East London branch)..Reporting to the Regional Security Manager, this role is responsible forProviding visible high risk surveillance and escort on high risk vehicles in high risk areas.The successful incumbent is a self-starter with a proven track record in maintaining company policy, adopting best practices, and is able to exercise sound judgement in the pursuit of the achievement of the goals of the organisation, and understanding the role which facilities managementplays within a successful business unit. The incumbent will be expected to beresults driven and to live the values of the organisationRole Responsibility:KPAPERFORMANCE STANDARDSRisk surveillance for different branchesReceives a call from BSO/Controller on limits exceededCollect the vehicle for escortEscort the vehicle to various clients and sometimes until vehicle is back at baseReceive a call to escort up to Polokwane or other regionsUpon information received from Intelligence / Investigations Departments, pertaining to possible attacks on customers and or branches, member responds, either reactive or pro-active.Identify high risk areasConduct risk assessment/survey at client siteCompile the reportSend report to RSMRandom surveillance of sites known for robberiesRoad checksStop vehicles randomly outside or at baseCover allocated areas and conduct vehicle searchCheck the risk on the vehicle e.g. safes, locks, uniform, bullet proof ,weapon permit, IDCompile a report for RSM and BSOBranch opening and closing procedures including vehicle checksIs advised to go to a branch to do the opening procedures using forms prescribed.Conduct closing procedure checksCheck the whole fleet of the branchCheck Vault / safes security complianceProvide evidence to support the opening and closing report.InvestigationReact to tipoff provided by investigationsProviding security and support for investigators e.g. on robberiesConduct ATM audits procedures for audit investigationHealth and safetyParticipate in the design/ development/ review/ implementation and monitoring of the departmental safety plans for each year.Participate in safety forums created by company for example safety meetings and safety talksReport all safety incidents to the relevant peopleDiscuss all safety incidentsFollow-up on any activities assigned through safety meeting/committee/representative/managementAttend safety education and refresher programmesComply with safety policies and procedures at workplaceDistribute safety information as and when requiredWear protective clothing all the timeThe Ideal Candidate:Minimum RequirementsGrade 12Drivers LicensePSIRA GradesCIT ExperienceAuditing courseFirearm competencyWe welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates, but SA citizens will have a distinct advantage.About the Company:About G4S:G4S is the world’s leading international security solutions group, which specialises in outsourced business processes in sectors where security and safety risks are considered a strategic threat.
