A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A NIGHT RECEPTIONIST AT THE GANTRY LONDON CURIO COLLECTION BY HILTON What you'll be doing... Reporting to the Front Office Manager, you can expect your working day to include the following: Welcomes guests as soon as they arrive with care and attention, with a personalised approach. Is proactive, anticipates guests' needs, and looks for a suitable solution. Competent in taking Reservations, and upselling where possible to maximize the average room rate. Audits room rates, charges, reconciles and balances revenues generated as per day audit checklist. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU We hire mostly on personality potential but here are a few of our requirements... To succeed in the role of Receptionist, you will need the following qualities and skills: Great attention to detail. Exceptional communication skills. Ability to create a wow factor through perfect customer service for every guest. Experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in hospitality. A positive can-do attitude and ability to work well in a team. Experience in ONQ is advantageous but not essential. This is a hands-on role, and the successful applicant must be able to effectively liaise with other departments, answer guest inquiries in a timely and courteous manner, use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities, and demonstrate knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing, and policies, as well as knowledge of the local area.
