Minimum Requirements:- A relevant Doctoral Degree- A qualification in Nursing Education that is registered with the South African Nursing Council- Professional registration with the South African Nursing Council- At least 3 years experience in higher education- Undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research experience in Nursing- A record of accredited research publications commensurate with the academic rank of Senior Lecturer- Postgraduate supervision experience including successful Masters/Doctoral supervision commensurate with the academic rank of Senior LecturerAdded Advantages- A qualification in Nursing Management that is registered with the South African Nursing Council- Evidence of successful external fundraising for research.- Evidence of supporting early career academics.- Recognition in a chosen area of research (e.g., NRF rating).- Evidence of networking and collaboration beyond one institution in research and/or teaching- Evidence of community engagement integrated with teaching, learning or research.Duties:- Participate in research, curriculum design, development, and implementation.- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate modules.- Meet research publication requirements for the academic rank of senior lecturer level.- Secure external research grants- Supervise postgraduate students.- Establish institutional, regional or national collaborations.- Contribute to mentorship of emergent academic staff.- Participate in community engagement integrated with teaching and/or research.- Participate in administrative duties at departmental, faculty and university level
