It is a wide-ranging role, with each day different from the last, posing unique challenges. Your role involves ensuring your team works safely to stringent H&S standards and delivers excellent customer service. You will develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business including the planning teams, key contractors, and other external stakeholders.This exciting position is a mixture of office and fieldwork, the percentage split based on changing business needs and challenges (average 80/20 split).Base Location: Woodford (PS) - E17 4AJ or Coppermills E17 7HE subject to your location.Working Pattern or hours: 36 hours Monday- Friday Plus the Potential inclusion onto an out-of-hours Rota for which you will receive additional payment.What you’ll be doing as the Field Operations ManagerPerformance managing a field operations team to deliver operational performance and customer service targets.Monitor and drive performance against key metrics to make sure all work is responded to in a timely fashion.Lead and develop technicians by setting measurable goals, holding team meetings, one to one’s, completing the PDR process and creating individual development training plans.Promote a culture of engagement and motivation within the team.Conduct regular site visits to assess the quality of work being completed by your team.Take team responsibility for safe working practices which comply with company procedures.Identify and support the implementation of new initiatives to drive operational efficiency and customer service improvements.We’re looking for you to:Knowledge and understanding of the clean water network would be desirable but not essential as you will be working on the network as well as managing the team.Leading, developing and performance managing field-based operatives.Formal leadership and management qualifications are desirable (but not essential).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital for this role, and you must have an exceptional standard of organisation.You will be fully competent in the use of Microsoft Office as well as planning and reporting software.Previous experience of liaising with internal and external stakeholders is also highly regarded.What’s in it for you?Competitive salary of £45,000 per annum depending on your level of experience plus car allowance.Annual Leave 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service.
