PROJECT COORINDATOR Durbanville, Western Cape12 Month Contract, Start Immediately!R20 000 R24 000 Per Month Negotiable on Qualification and Years of relevant experienceOur client, an established Waste Management concern is search of a Project CoordinatorWho will be responsible for implementing the project investment plans, analysing data to measure program effectiveness, and collaborating with various internal departments to ensure that the projects are implemented. One will possess strong data management skills, and willing to play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of projects that focus on collection and the recycling of plastic packaging wasteKey Duties and Responsibilities:Project Coordination and StrategySupport the development of comprehensive project plans, including objectives, scope, deliverables and timelines for successful project implementation.Contribute to the strategies aimed at increasing collection and recycling of plastic packaging waste, with the aim of achieving the legislated targets.Contribute to the coordination of collection and recycling projects. This will include providing guidance, direction, and assistance to achieve project milestones and objectives.Project SupportData managementDevelop and maintain a comprehensive data management system for tracking key metrics; particularly investment, jobs and tonnes collected and recycled.Analyse data to identify trends, assess program effectiveness, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.Generate regular reports on recycling performance for internal and external stakeholdersFinanceObtain data from Finance that set the targets for project deliveryEnsure invoices are paid, and documentation is correct,Ensure that invested projects are initiated, reporting and payingComplianceFacilitate the MOA setup, with the legal and compliance teamMonitoring volume reports to track performance of collection and recycling projectsEnsuring partners are adhering to the MOA and operating procedures are being followedRegular site visits to check on physical appearance of equipment Initiating intervention to address non-performancePartner Engagement:Facilitate collection and recycling companies funding applications, capturing information, undertaking site visits, etc.Negotiate contracts and agreements with collection and recycling partners.Reporting and DocumentationSupport the preparation of regular progress reports, project documentation, and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.Contribute to the documentation of best practices, lessons learned, and project outcomes to facilitate knowledge sharing and inform future initiatives.Qualifications, Skills and Experience needed:· Project Management/Environmental/Waste Management tertiary qualification or equivalent qualification required· Project Management related courses/certifications essential3-4 Years experience in project coordination/administration within a similar role preferably within the Waste Management and/or Recycling industryMust have experience in delivering on projects is critical (initiation to project closure)Proven efficiency on MS Excel is essential as well as proficiency on MS Word and MS PowerpointAbility to manage service providers and performance deliveryHighly organised and pro-activeMust have valid drivers licence and own vehicleMust be willing to travel locallyFluency in African and Afrikaans languages beneficialThis position is in line with the companies EE policy
