Vacancy: General Manager (Warehouse) – Durban, KZN Our Client, a leader in the Logistics Industry, is seeking to appoint an experienced General Manager for their Warehouse in Durban. Applicants need to reside in and around the Durban area. Duties&Responsibilities Manage the entire Warehouse Function. Compile the relevant Reports. Implement Operational Policies and Procedures, and introduce Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) into each facet and or department. Introduce, implement and report to EXCO on staff performance reviews. Introduce, implement, and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). Responsible for Occupational Health and Safety. Implementation and maintenance of equipment, and ensure the effective and safe use of Warehouse equipment. Complete the entire process for claims and or damages, and report to EXCO on the steps to alleviate future claims and or damages. Ensure stock levels of all cargo are accounted for on a continuous basis by use of the relevant systems. Build and maintain relationships with customers and transporters. Desired Experience&Qualification Grade 12 (Twelve) is a must. A minimum of 10 (Ten) years Warehousing experience, with 5 (Five) years experience being in a Management position, preferably in General Management. Leadership ability. Must be a confident decision-maker. Good communication and organisational skills. Must be able to improve efficiency and increase profits. OHS knowledge. Knowledge of Port operations and the impact on the business. Package&Remuneration Between R75 000 to R80 000 CTC per month, including: Medical aid. Provident Fund. Interested?
