Role: Diesel Mechanic - Trade TestLocation: Verulam, Durban SADuties & ResponsibilitiesMaintenance of fleet: Carry out repairs and maintenance according to prescribed standards and checklistsPreventative Maintenance: Carry out inspections on prescribed checklists and undertake repairs as requiredAttend to breakdowns and carry out the necessary repairsEnsure vehicles are (maintained) in line with legal requirements and company policies e. roadworthy etc.Maintain a safe and clean working place at all timesProvide timely feedback to management with regard to breakdowns, repairs, services etcPerform ancillary duties to the above as determined by management on an ongoing basisExperience and Qualification:Matric - Grade 12Qualified Artisan (Trade Test) with a minimum 5 years experienceExperience in transport and logistic environmentWilling to work shifts, weekends and public holidaysSound knowledge in servicing and maintenance of trucks (Mercedes) and tankers /trailersValid driver's license, preferably code EC and own transport Competencies:PunctualStrong communication skillsAnalytical skills
