The client is looking for a qualified, driven Demand and Supply Planning Supervisor to join their team in Durban.The successful applicant will be responsible for the demand planning and management processes for new and existing products.Role ResponsibilitiesCollect sales forecast from the business team, analyze historical data (sell in & sell out) of all channels, and conduct statistics planning analysis.Lead the Monthly Demand Review with the sales and marketing team, to build assumptions for the consensus demand plan and improve forecast accuracy.Follow up on the order status to ensure purchasing needs are well fulfilled. Project supply risk and communicate with stakeholders proactively.Review any critical issues and provide focus on products in short supply and release priorities.Collect shipping docs for imported products and collaborate with general distributor on temperature release and importation clearance timely.Understand business complexity and influence when sales are under-forecasted or over-forecasted.With the understanding of sales forecast and net requirement plan, support species on LTF planning.Work closely with the general distributor, logistics and customer service team, and share information timely to make sure related risks/issues are properly delivered.Be closed with global supply chain colleagues to be in line with globalguidance and to learn from good practices.Optimize inventory to balance the OOS risk and inventory holding cost and achieve the DOI target.Monitor inventory to capture slow-moving and w/off risk, and provide proactive alerts to stakeholders to minimize inventory destruction.Work with Distribution on stock allocation in case of supply shortage.Inventory reports and analysis.Engagement for projects regarding planning and inventory management.Identify process improvement opportunities and specify the requirements and analyze effects on existing processes.Assist LM in developing supply chain solutions based on new business needs, site supply and logistics strategies change, etc.Provide analysis regarding volumes, inventories etc, and provide optimization suggestions and solutions.RequirementsBachelor’s degree or aboveAdvanced technical skills in the Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP, and Forecast tools.Fluent in reading/written EnglishAt least 5+ years experience in demand planning and project execution, experience in a multi-national pharmacy company is a plus.SAP knowledge preferred.Good communication skills in teamwork with multiple internal and international parties.Some working experience in international trade and logistics management will be an additional advantage.Hire Resolve is a top-tier recruitment firm that focuses on placing skilled professionals in permanent employment.Hire Resolve focuses on working with senior-level executives and we pride ourselves on delivering excellent service to our candidates and clients.Salary: negotiable.Our client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience.#J-18808-Ljbffr
