Responsibilities:Liaise with Head Office regarding berthing of vessel in DurbanCheck with the port regarding berthingUpdating Head Office when vessel is expected to berthEnsure vessel is always monitored, and changes to be made where necessary to keep both cranes workingSign-on and off of crew membersOrganising ship repairs and sparesHandling of all container repairs, stock control and ordering of empties from Head Office, and monitoring of long stay containersRequirements:Must come from a Ships Agency backgroundMust have relevant managerial experienceWorking knowledge of the following: IPMS, port health, berthing rules, T.O.G’S at Point, all related custom doc’s for the vesselGood working relationship with National planning and port people at PointKnowledge on how to plan the cellular vessel, liaise with the Planner at Point and ch.Mate of vessel to finalize the planWorking knowledge of claims and procedures with the portGeneral knowledge of exports and imports and procedures#J-18808-Ljbffr
