Description Our client, in the Engineering Industry (Instrumentation and Valves), based in Durban, is currently looking to employ an experienced Sales Representative (Technical). An exciting career opportunity awaits you! Requirements: Technical degree in Control Engineering / Instrumentation, or a related field is preferred but not essential. Valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle is essential . Must be willing to travel extensively - KZN area. Proven experience in product management and sales roles within the industrial or manufacturing sector, preferably in oil and gas, petrochemical, sugar mills, or power generation. Strong knowledge of the region's market dynamics , including customers, competitors, and industry trends in the Instrumentation&Valve industry. Responsibilities, but not limited to: Plan and organize daily activities related to Customer Appointments, Promotions and Stock control. Adhere to a pre-set Monthly Plan outlining customer visits, promotions and other related events. Reporting such visits in detail including market activity, prospective applications and sales. Develop and implement marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility and market presence. Collaborate with the marketing team to create effective marketing campaigns, materials, and digital content. Participate in trade shows, conferences, and industry events to promote our products and services. Lead the vendor enlistment process, including pre-qualification, technical evaluations, and negotiations. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction. Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans in alignment with company objectives and budgeted targets. Identify opportunities for business expansion, market penetration, and revenue growth. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive lead generation and networking. Manage the entire product life cycle, including product selection, pricing, positioning, and promotion. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any technical or operational issues. Serve as the primary liaison between our manufacturing company and the distributor's office. #J-18808-Ljbffr
