Our client, a well-known logistics solutions provider is looking for an experienced Sales Leader to create and drive their strategy for growth within the FMCG Food sector . To be considered for this role, you must have an in-depth understanding of the logistics freight industry coupled knowledge on where the growth opportunities lie within the FMCG (food) space in South Africa. With this knowledge and expertise, you will be required to create and deliver the sales plan on how best to grow the business. You will be implementing and driving this plan alongside your team. This is a very senior role where you will be working with C level internal stakeholders. On offer is a superb package which consists of basic + attractive commission / bonus structure. You can be based anywhere in South Africa to be considered for this role. Key Responsibilities: Sales Strategy: Develop the strategy to increase sales and volume targets. Open New Markets: Identify new markets, products and solutions Targets/KPI : Set the Targets and KPI'S for the business. Marketing: Create a marketing strategy that supports the company's branding. Execution: Detail implementation plans for sales and marketing strategies, including performance management. Market Understanding: Demonstrate a clear understanding of the logistics market, 3PL and freight clearing. Identifying and Targeting Prospective Clients: FMCG producers, retailers, and businesses needing logistics services. Building Relationships: Develop strong relationships with industry decision-makers. Developing Tailored Solutions: Create customized logistics plans for clients. Marketing and Branding: Promote the company's unique offerings and competitive advantages. Achieving Sales Targets: Meet monthly volume and load targets. Essentials for this Role: Completed matric with a relevant tertiary qualification. Expertise in the FMCG (Food) logistics industry Understanding of the freight routes in South Africa and Cross borders 15 years of experience in a sales environment within the logistics industry. Proficient in dealing with C-level internal and external stakeholders.
