You will be involved in secure software development and have input on how best to achieve our goals.As our Software Quality Engineer II, you’ll support HID’s success by:Collaborating with developers and other quality assurance engineers to understand and clarify software requirements, develop test cases, and develop your product knowledge.Implementing HID’s automated testing tools to develop automated testing scripts and execute manual tests, automated tests, and performance tests.Helping reproduce errors reported from the field, test fixes, and report results to management.Your Experience and Education should include:BS in Computer Science required or equivalent experience2+ years of practical Software QA Engineering experience with Windows/Linux-based applications requiredExperience with functional testing, automation, and regression testingExperience with test planning and test case developmentStrong background in Quality Assurance methodologiesExperience with white, gray, and black box testing techniques and methodologiesExcellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analysis skillsExceptional communication skills to articulate quality assurance practicesStrict attention to detailAbility to work with minimum supervision with set prioritiesAbility to set up hardware and wiringWe would love experience with any of the following:Experience with Physical Access Control Systems is a tremendous benefitTest lab and test bed development and maintenanceExperience with testing Web ServicesExperience testing embedded applicationsGood understanding of networking and ability to configure devices to connect to the networkFamiliarity with serial communications (RS-232, RS-485)Experience setting up and utilizing virtual machinesExperience with IoT devicesFamiliarity with cybersecurity-related tools and testing methodologies.Why apply?Empowerment: You’ll work as part of a global team in a flexible work environment, learning and enhancing your expertise.
