One of the largest Software Development and Media companies is looking for a “Software Developer (.Net)” to join their team on a full-time permanent basis based in Durban. Core Purpose of The Job : As a Software Developer at the company, you will play a crucial role in custom application and web development. You will have the freedom to build custom applications, demonstrate your leadership abilities, and contribute to all aspects of the development process, from application design to database programming. Our development team is highly agile, using Scrum, continuous integration, and peer reviews to foster collaboration and innovation. Key Performance Areas : Lead full-cycle project development, including application design input, site layout / user interface, and database design / programming. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop high-quality software solutions. Work in an agile development environment, focusing on “inspect and adapt” principles to drive continuous improvement. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code. Qualifications / Experience: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 4 years of software development experience. 3+ years of experience with Agile development methodologies. 3+ years of JavaScript development experience. Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design and Programming. Solid knowledge of MVC, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Angular, ASP.Net, .Net Core, C#, and T-SQL (preferred). Familiarity with JQUERY, JSON, REST, and Web Services (a plus). Experience in web application development, including user interface design and relational database structures. Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with peers, managers, and clients. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple timelines and tasks within client constraints. Demonstrated ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, flexible environment.
