A valued client of Datacentrix is seeking a Microsoft Specialist to join their Enterprise IT Infrastructure&Operations department based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. The successful candidate will have a minimum of5 – 8 years’ relevant ICT experience within the Microsoft environment and will report to the Head of Enterprise IT Infrastructure&Operations. (This is a 6-month fixed-term contract&is based full-time in office) A valued client of Datacentrix is seeking a Microsoft Specialist to join their Enterprise IT Infrastructure&Operations department based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. (This is a 6-month fixed-term contract&is based full-time in office) Purpose: To support the Head of Enterprise Infrastructure&Operations and team in implementation of policies, procedures and plans by maintaining and developing the Microsoft environment. To ensure excellent customer service and alignment with the objectives of the ICT Department and Chief Information Officer. Qualifications&Skills Required: NQF Level 6 in ICT or Electronic Engineering plus MCSE (Minimum) NQF Level 7 in ICT or Electronic Engineering plus MCSE (Ideal) 5 – 8 years’ relevant ICT experience within the Microsoft environments Back-up and server operations Microsoft applications, products and services Project management ICT change management Service management Licensing Requirements Responsibilities: Develop and Implement Control Systems Development of a control system is identified during operational execution The need for a control system is identified as a result of the auditing process; or receive a request for the development of a control system and analyse to determine the requirements of the control system Types of control systems to be developed and implemented, i.e. Policies, Procedures, Business Processes, Standard Operating Procedures Consult existing control systems to determine components that can be utilised in the new control system Determine dependencies, inter-dependencies, and co-dependencies to other control systems Review the company control systems to ensure alignment Consult audit findings, where applicable, to determine procedural problems or risk areas Develop the first draft of the control system in accordance with company format and requirements Conduct the necessary working groups with the relevant role players to obtain inputs into the draft control system Distribute the draft to the relevant role players, for input, and repeat the process until all affected role players are satisfied with the draft Develop the final control system in accordance with the company standards and specifications Obtain approval for the control system in accordance with the delegation of authority Implement the control system in accordance within Institutional policies and procedures Communicate the implementation of the control system in accordance with policies and procedures Upload the control system onto the control system database for utilisation by the relevant role players Archive the control system document for reference purposes Develop Solutions Receive a request for the development of a solution and analyse to determine the nature of the functionality The need for functionality is identified during operational output Liaise with the users to determine the exact needs and to compile a first draft URS Conduct an impact study to determine the possible effect on the current- and associated systems Conduct a feasibility study to determine the cost of the implementation of the functionality Obtain approval for the development of the functionality and the necessary acquisitions Compile a functional specification in accordance with the URS Develop the functionality/solution in accordance with the functional specification Source the development of the functionality/solution to the relevant role players Test the functionality to ensure that it conforms to the functional specification Conduct user acceptance testing in collaboration with the users in accordance with the functional specification Modify the functionality/solution where necessary taking into consideration the impact on the system Test the modifications in accordance with the policies and procedures and the functional specification Implement the functionality on the live system in accordance with policies and procedures Document the functionality for future reference purposes Provide information, conduct research to develop a solution, develop a solution&provide support Receive and analyse a request to determine the nature and extent of the support to be provided The need for provision of support is identified during the execution of outputs Diagnose the problem to determine the appropriate action Escalate the problem to the best possible and relevant role players for a solution Ensure that escalated problems are resolved within the allocated time frame Test the solution to ensure that the diagnosed problem is resolved Implement the solution in accordance with procedures and test to ensure that the solution is functional Monitor the implemented solution for a period in accordance with the impact on the system Document the solution in accordance with policies and procedures in the standardised format where necessary Submit the resolution document to the document management system for future reference purposes Provide feedback to the relevant role players Manage relationships with, and regularly assesses needs and views of core customers in order to improve the quality and effectiveness of services Ensures efficient up to date and continuous Desktop support service to all Users Determines user needs and responds promptly and appropriately, referring when necessary Manages all aspects of users’ hardware and software requirements Provides advice and support to other sections of ICT and to the staff. Ensure Service Quality Service quality must be analysed in accordance with scheduled analysis activities Collect the necessary data for the analysis process from the various sources utilising the relevant business tools, i.e.: manually form the relevant sources, relevant role players (Dashboard)&integrated management systems Analyse the data to enable the compilation of the necessary reports Analyse the statistics manually/electronically to produce the relevant information Transform the data into the required information format&collate the analysed information into the prescribed format Consult the necessary standards and specifications to determine the quality levels applicable Produce the necessary reports in the prescribed format indicating the relevant key performance indicators as related to standards Initiate the corrective actions where necessary and manage to ensure rectification Distribute the report to the relevant role players and monitor for rectification of problem areas Document the analysis and archive for future reference 1 person has applied for this job. 555 people have viewed this job. #J-18808-Ljbffr
