The primary objective of this role is to significantly enhance market share and profitability within the province by developing and executing a robust provincial distribution strategy. This involves driving key business metrics, fostering innovation and enhancing performance through strategic partnerships. The role demands ensuring seamless alignment, integration and effective functioning of all functions across the province. Additionally, it requires building and nurturing strategic relationships with key stakeholders, connecting the business with influential partners and forging strong business relationships that support and drive the overall growth objectives of the province. By strategically leading these initiatives, the role aims to create a cohesive and high-performing business environment that not only meets but exceeds market expectations. What will you do? Strategic Leadership and Business Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive provincial distribution strategy aligned with the overarching vision. Drive aggressive growth in the KZN province. Formulate detailed monthly, quarterly and annual business plans encompassing sales targets, expense budgets, workforce growth and marketing strategies. Budget and Expense Management: Oversee the province's budget and cost management, ensuring clear and robust expense budgets. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while fostering a cost-awareness culture. Ensure the return on investment of various campaigns, initiatives and training practices. Compliance, Quality and Risk Management: Stay abreast of relevant regulatory and legislative requirements. Work with the Compliance Department to ensure compliant business conduct. Identify and mitigate risks, implementing appropriate management processes and monitoring systems. Collaborate with the Forensics Department to prevent and address fraud. People Management: Partner with Human Resources to source high-potential talent for critical roles. Drive transformation initiatives, aligning HR practices with transformation targets and achieving EE appointment ratios. Implement and maintain best practices in performance management, succession planning and personal development. Ensure continuous professional growth through accreditation and development programs. Stakeholder Management: Serve as the province's ambassador, representing the business to customers, stakeholders and intermediaries. Build and maintain strong relationships with key public and private sector stakeholders, industry bodies and financial services community partners. Identify high-impact intermediary opportunities What will make you successful in this role? Qualifications: Grade 12 Business, Legal or Commercial Degree/MBA an advantage CFP an advantage It is expected that the successful candidate meets the requirements of Class of Business (COB) at the date of appointment. Experience&Knowledge: Prior experience as a Provincial Executive will be advantageous Sound Financial Services experience at a senior level within a corporate environment At least 8 years Sales and Distribution exposure At least 10 years sound management and leadership experience Qualification and Experience Degree or Diploma with 6 to 8 years experience or 10 years related experience.
