A leading supply chain and logistics company headquartered in Durban, South Africa, is on the lookout for an experienced and dynamic IT Executive to join their innovative and high-performing team.The IT Executive will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic objectives of the business, ensuring seamless execution of IT-related tasks across various business units. Reporting directly to the IT Director, they will lead a team of Application Managers, overseeing the application landscape in areas such as Supply Chain, Customer Service, Finance, Warehouse Logistics, HR Payroll, Smart Worker, and Business Reporting. Their focus will be on innovation, sustainability, and aligning IT initiatives to ensure smooth running of the business while delivering the company’s long-term strategic goals.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES, NOT LIMITED TO:Leadership and DirectionManage, lead, and provide direction to Application Managers for alignment with businessstrategyLead the IT direction, contributing to the strategic vision set by the IT DirectorBusiness Solutions and InnovationExplore and align business solutions to market needs, understanding risks, costs, and benefitsDrive innovation across application areas, focusing on 4th generation systemsOperational ManagementOversee 3rd party suppliers through Application ManagersEnsure efficient people, process, and systems managementStakeholder management and partnering for continuous improvementManage OPEX and *** budgets and present related monthly reportsDrive alignment with the strategic intent and direction of functional areas such as Customer & Sales, Warehousing, Transport, Supply Chain, HR, and Reporting for continuous business growth and transformationREQUIREMENTSRelevant Degree or Diploma in ITMaster’s degree advantageous10-15 years in an IT Leadership roleProven project management experiencePreferred experience in SAP, particularly in S4 implementation/migrationKnowledge of IT & HRIS systems, E-commerce, B2B systems, and 4th generation systems (machine learning, AI, data strategy, BI, HR systems)Background in business process and application management with a focus on service provider engagement managementLeadership and management abilitiesStrategic thinking to identify technology-driven business opportunitiesTechnical expertise across various technologiesBusiness acumen to articulate the value of technology investments and be a trusted business advisorProblem-solving skills and adaptability to changing technological landscapesJob Type: Full-time#J-18808-Ljbffr
