About the role The purpose of this role is to be responsible for timely installation, repair, and maintenance of equipment to ensure that Production activities are executed in a safe manner, as well as operate equipment and tests all working parts in the functional area to ensure proper utilization. Key responsibilities To carry out repairs, maintenance, and operation in a food manufacturing environment. General machine maintenance in a food manufacturing environment Ensure Planned maintenance is carried out within BOP Execute planned and unplanned maintenance activities. Ensures the safe and functional operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. Provide continuous process support Troubleshooting and rectify faults occurring due to failure of mechanical equipment Continuously monitor the working environment responsible area and report any abnormalities found Plant and equipment inspection and defect reporting Installation of equipment Physically monitor and control the production process Examine equipment and complete safety checklist Report all at-risk behaviors and unsafe conditions to the line manager Conduct visual inspections on the process and equipment Other duties as assigned Qualifications and skills Trade tested and qualified (Artisan Minimum N3) 3-5 yrs experience in Food or FMCG industry At least 3 years’ experience in the maintenance of gearboxes, conveyors, and food processing equipment Physically able Take instructions / communicate in English Willing to make a contribution as a member of the operations team Pneumatics/hydraulics Basic electricity will be an advantage Essential services like boilers/compressors/air conditioning Good Oral and Written Communication Skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
