The tasks of the DRO Manager reside within the Doctoral Research Office and in this regard, the role of the manager is to accomplish the operational goals of the Doctoral Research Office. CORE FUNCTIONS INCLUDE: Manage the design, planning and delivery of doctoral programmes.Facilitate research workshops for doctoral programmes, as per programme structure.Recruitment, selection and allocation of supervisors to doctoral students.Review and assessment processes of doctoral programmesDoctoral programmes student progress monitoring.Responsible for the effective functioning of committee structures.Develop and implement suitable induction and training programmes for supervisors.Contribute to and participate in selected activities of the Research Directorate.Responsible for SOPs and all other protocols required of the Doctoral Research Office.Manage doctoral programmes holistically including the operations and staff of Doctoral Research Office.QUALIFICATIONSA suitable doctoral qualification, preferably in Management, Administration or Business or Teacher EducationEXPERIENCE AND SKILLSAt least 5 years of academic experience, of which at least 1 year should be in an academic management position.Programme management knowledgeResearch knowledge ADVANTAGES Strong academic publishing and research skills with a proven record of accomplishment of research output.Mentoring emerging researchers and research staff#J-18808-Ljbffr
