We look for colleagues who Care, Dare and Deliver.Position Summary:The role will encompass the following aspects:Initial ownership, management and performance improvement of the existing activities defined as supply chain. Development and alignment within the organisation of a comprehensive supply chain organisation that will derive benefit from process standardization, duplication removal and service improvements.This activity will be performed in conjunction with the Head of Regional Supply Chain.Processes will be developed to afford global collaboration across the segment.All relevant processes will be supportive of Global Sourcing Strategy application.Implementation and management of defined organisation, tracking, reporting, and promoting benefit. The role will therefore include an element of:Daily management and improvement of existing activities, including eventual target organisation. Project focused initiative to map existing organisation, design and implement the aligned target organisation.Defined Scope:Direct & Indirect Sourcing, transactional Procurement, internal logistics, Logistics provision, Production Planning, Material Resource Planning, Customer services. Responsibilities:Immediate Management Activities:Ensure coverage of all intended activities, including the interface with regional supply chain activity and escalation paths.Supply Chain Organisation Development:Map existing process & staffing levels for total operational scope of South Africa.Supply Chain Management:Management of team Continuous improvement of service offering Development of talent Identify and analyse all direct and indirect spend, define appropriate sourcing category strategy and execute in alignment with Region / Global strategies and cost optimization targets. Alignment with global systems, tools, and processes Stakeholder Management Reporting and achieving KPI’sOTIF, Inventory (FG-RM)Cost out, Spend under Contract, Average Payment Term, Invoices Paid Within Due dateNon-Po Spend Share, Number of PO / Invoice, Active VendorsQuarterly Business Review, Quality (NCR), Supplier Compliance RateLogistics & Distribution Spend, Air Freight Share, Weight Shipped/Invoiced Necessary education / experience / knowledge / skills:Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration or similar field.Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the wider packaging arena or alternative industry that presents similar challenges such as, high volume, high raw material cost, commodity based and competitive, yet restrictive global markets.Proven track record of supply chain development &/or change/transformation programme, within a multi-cultural, country and market environment.Demonstrated experience of significant project scoping and realization, including result realization.Capable of working in a matrix environment and remote management of team.Strong influencing skills, with ability to align potentially problematic situations.Strong talent management skills, ensuring continued development of personnel and function.Capable to translate the strategic agenda into concrete actions plans, monitor and report achievement.Proven experience in Tendering Process (RFQ to Award), evaluation, direct negotiations, and contract management.Required characteristics:Process orientated, strong influencing skills, team player, exceptional communicator (written and verbal), Attention to detail, Driven / Self-motivated, strategic thinker, fact based, and data orientated. Analytical.
