The successful candidate will be capable of leading teams in the technical application of infrastructure asset management and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in Municipal Asset Management, ISO55000, data management (including geospatial) and project management of large infrastructural projects The Key responsibilities for this role are to:Provide comprehensive technical support and analysis to enhance projects across service lines in Management Services.Implement and oversee Infrastructure and Asset Management Projects.Lead project management efforts for major infrastructural projects, ensuring efficient execution.Compile detailed reports on asset analysis findings, effectively communicating results and strategies to management and clients.Design, maintain, and optimize asset-related data sets, ensuring a thorough understanding of all data, including basic GIS architecture.Address and manage project requirements, progress, and contractual matters in accordance with standard engineering contracts (CIDB, NEC3/4, and GCC)Familiarity and proficiency in database knowledge and understanding, including MS Excel and GIS (MSSQL and/or PostGIS would be preferential).Communication with manager and support team.Work accurately and efficiently.Reporting verbally and in writing.Preparation of GRAP compliant Fixed Asset Registers (FAR).Developing of IAMP’s, SAMP’s and Asset Care plans would be advantageous.Recommended Qualifications, Skills and Experience BTech or Bachelor’s Degree in engineering with PMP and/or SACPCMP is a must.Professionally Registered with Project Management Institute or South African Council for the Project and Construction Management ProfessionMinimum of 5 years post-graduate experience in Engineering and minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience in Asset ManagementRegistration with SAAMA/WPIAM as CAMA will be an added advantage.Previous experience as project lead for IAM projects and personnel will be an added advantage.Demonstrated knowledge and experience in compilations of Infrastructure Asset Management Plans.Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the preparation and compilation of Fixed Asset Registers.Familiarity with ISO55000 framework.Excellent communication and report writing skills.Strong problem-solving, research, and data analysis skills.Excellent MS Excel skillsDetail-oriented and able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Project management experience and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Previous experience and management of large infrastructure programmes and projects will be advantageous.GIS and Database (MSSQL) experience is not essential but will be an added advantage.How to ApplyAll applications must be submitted online.
