A fast-growing Education Group is seeking a strategic and innovative Chief Financial Officer to join their team in Durban. As the CFO, you will play a pivotal role in business expansion and innovation, reporting to the CEO. You will be a key player in driving the financial operations and strategy of the organisation. This includes overseeing and managing financial, risk and strategic functions. RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and implement financial strategies to align with the company's objectives of establishing a holding company structure and acquiring new businesses. Lead the identification, evaluation, and integration of potential acquisitions to strengthen the company's service offerings and market presence. Oversee cash flow management and guarantee that funds are accessible for acquisitions, investments, and operational needs. Undertake financial reporting for both internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies. Lead the management of financial risks related to the company's expansion and acquisition initiatives. Lead and foster the growth and development of a high-performance team, and establish a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 7 years of experience, preferably in the educational or retail sector. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CA (SA) or CGMA qualification is required. Demonstrated experience in financial leadership and strategic decision-making, with a strong understanding of projecting acquisition and expansion prospects. Proven track record in cash flow management, reporting, consolidation, financial modelling, and mitigating financial risks in dynamic business contexts. Experience in formulating and supporting the implementation of tactical and strategic plans and managing the capital request and budget processes. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and develop a team and liaise with internal/external stakeholders. Strong analytical skills and ability to think strategically and be innovative. Experience overseeing debt collections with a track record of improving and integrating processes and systems is crucial. SALARY: Cost to Company Per Annum: R1.6m – R1.95m depending on the candidate #J-18808-Ljbffr
