Job Purpose: Plans, directs, and implements organisational sustainability programmes. Reporting to: Divisional Safety Health and Environment Manager Minimum Requirements: Matric/Grade 12 Bachelor's Degree of Science in Environmental Studies 4 + years’ experience in a similar role within the manufacturing environment Responsibility: Strategy: Develop and implement sustainability business strategy plans Design strategies to increase awareness and commitment to sustainability Identify and assess opportunities for efficient use of resources, introducing strategies for waste reduction and developing plans to reduce the organisations greenhouse gas emissions Advisory: Advising the group on sustainability initiatives and mitigation measures Research: Stay up to date of emerging trends, regulations, technologies and best practices Track and analyse customer trends in sustainability Perform benchmarking activities Monitoring: Monitor the organisations progress towards its sustainability goals and evaluate the impact of existing polices and initiatives Develop and implement systems for monitoring and evaluating sustainability initiatives. Conduct audits and assessments audits and assessments to ensure compliance with sustainability goals and standards Reporting and communicating: Prepare presentations and reports in writing submission documents for technical proposals Serve as the central point of contact between the company and customers Prepare briefing materials and reports Monitor and assess environmental impacts Represent the organisation externally on sustainability issues Project Management: Project manage and deliver annual sustainability projects in compliance with guidelines Liaises with internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain effective and sound relationships between the business and its communities Financial: Adheres to sound financial practices to manage return on investment, and ensures optimised utilisation and deployment of human resources, working within a high ethical culture and ensuring the maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
