Access World is a global commodity warehousing and logistics business. In addition, we are an approved warehouse keeper of the London Metal Exchange, and we provide LME warehousing and associated services to traders, producers, financiers, and consumers of base metals. In addition, we provide physical warehouse and related logistics services for commodities such as cocoa beans, rubber, cotton, and other agricultural products. Access World also acts as collateral manager of ferroalloys, minor metals as well as oil and gas. Regions operate in semi-autonomous offices with their corporate functions including commercial, finance HR, legal, and operations.Reports to: Imports BU ManagerDepartment: ImportsPurpose of the positionTo manage and handle the full function of a Sea / Air / forwarding shipment / Project Cargo.Main Duties and Responsibilities:OperationalRegistering Files on Ship Shape and ensuring a digital copy is on the serverInvoicing and file balancing on Ship ShapeAll correspondence to the client relating to their stock and shipmentsCustoms Entries and AcquittalsBill of Ladings – Obtaining release from shipping linesProcessing of Creditors invoicesBooking freight – ad hocMonth End ReportsAudit Queries and full financial management of fileCustoms STOP knowledgeNRCSCustomer ServiceAll service levels pertaining to the client’s requirementsEffective use of e-mail communicationsCommunicate professionally at all times with all partiesCustomer service to be optimalCommunicationThis department is fully responsible for all communication levels, which include: –Liaising with the customerLiaising with the shipping linesLiaising with the transportersLiaising with border agentsReportingDaily Tracking shipments to the clientsDaily invoicing schedulesResolving queries on timeProper execution of clearance on SS reportingGeneral:A candidate with important knowledge of both air and sea would be suitable for this position.
