The purpose of the job is to ead external quality and projects for the business unit and support in co-ordinating SHE compliance.Minimum Requirements:National Diploma in Quality Management or EngineeringNational Diploma in Safety Management or relevant experience in SHE managementTrained Auditor ISO 9001;2015; IATF 16949:2016 & VDA 6.3:20166 years’ experience in a similar role within the Automotive IndustryResponsibilitiesQuality Strategy:Develop the Total Quality Strategic Plan and ensure implementation for the Business UnitSupport the business unit in driving down external PPM and maintaining good customer relationshipsQuality Management:Manage requirements related to Quality and other standards (IATF 16949:2016’ISO 9001:2015 & VDA 6.3:2016).Drive QLead quality meetings and reporting on external customer satisfactionLead project management for each site and overall business unitManage and improve relationships with all customersQuality Assurance:Support the business unit in ensuring that IATF 16049 certification is upheldDevelop and approve Quality Procedures and Policies for the Business UnitAudits:Develops audit plansSupports and gives plants direction during external quality auditsInformation Management and Direction Focussing:Conduct business unit management reviews.Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP):Manage the contract review process.Continuous Improvement:Develop an updated Continuous Improvement Plan.People Management:Ensure an enabling climate/culture.Ensure a safe, secure and legal working environment.Manage individual, team and departmental performance to achieve organisational objectives.Compile and update Performance Contracts and Individual Development Plans and facilitate individual career path planning.Determine the training needs of the Department.Conduct Performance Reviews and manage sub-standard performance.Coach and counsel people to ensure improved performance levelsEnsure discipline is maintained in department (absenteeism, lateness, overtime, misconduct, etc.)Resolve grievances and disputesSHE:Lead divisional health and safety meetingsSupport management in delivering SHE objectivesAssist with the implementation of new or existing SHE related legislation, rules and company standardsAssist in preparing and co-ordinating the yearly SHE action plan and longer term SHE roadmapMonitor and manage all SHEQ compliance and improvements across the business unitFinance:Support all initiatives to drive down cost through better qualityBudgeting of annual quality and safety compliance items#J-18808-Ljbffr
